The Challenge
Our client connects buyers and sellers in various markets, helping them to discover products, gather latest trends and grow through network of events and content. COVID-19 pandemic significantly affected its business-to-business (B2B) engagements and created new demand to do business digitally through virtual and hybrid events.
With their existing systems, audiences found it difficult to find products and content across digital as well as traditional channels. Our client wanted to create engaging experiences for both in-person and remote audiences while managing complexity, costs, and risk associated with the integration of different platforms to support these events. They also wanted a unified view of all audiences, their behaviour and preferences to enable better engagements for business growth.
The Solution
Infocepts partnered with the client to build a green field unified customer data platform to collate, curate and manage all their audience data, B2B products, and other relevant events data. A cross-functional hub & spoke team, consisting of core roadmap team and agile execution squads was set up to deliver the desired business outcomes.
Our team designed and developed the modern data platform using framework based cross-channel data ingestion, automated approach towards data quality, and event-driven data flows. The data platform was built using data mesh principles to manage each data domain as an independent service. For product domain, we empowered users with open-source data catalog to discover product profiles and rolled out open API’s for recommendation and product listing.
