Women in IT Awards Asia Leader Finalist

AvatarJune 26, 2020

What a year 2020 has been so far! I began my 5th year at InfoCepts, 7th year in the data and analytics space and I was nominated for the 2020 Women in IT Awards for Data Leader of the Year. This nomination gave me an opportunity to showcase how women have been able to shatter the proverbial “glass ceiling” successfully in multiple fields.

My Tableau Journey

Over the last 7 years, I have been fortunate to work with some of the most innovative people in the industry. Being included in the “Data Leader of the Year” category recognizes the continued efforts I have made to support, champion, and inspire others in the industry. Currently, I am working with a leading banking client in Singapore helping as a Senior BI Consultant. While working on this project I have been able to showcase my talents, helping clients derive more objective and actionable insights from data to make business decisions.

Recently, I challenged myself to master Tableau, and the journey has been more than rewarding. Since learning Tableau, I have been showcased as a Top Viz for Tableau Data Day Out, and highlighted by Iron Viz 2019 Music Awards. My work on Tableau has given me career highlights that have gone beyond the expected and resonated with the large Tableau #datafam.

I have been fortunate enough to connect with a diverse group of data enthusiasts and experts across the world, learn from them and share my knowledge with them. This recognition of being included in the “Data Leader of the Year” category by the Women in IT Awards truly humbles me and makes me more determined about the efforts I continue to make to support, champion, and inspire others in the industry.

Key ingredients for success, in my humble opinion:

What are the Women in IT Awards?

The Women in IT Awards aims to readdress gender imbalance within the tech sector. By showcasing the achievements of women in the sector and identifying new role models, the Women in IT Awards Asia 2020 shines a light on female talent achieving success in the sector.

Since its launch in 2015 the Women in IT Awards have showcased women in technology in London, New York, Dublin and San Francisco. It is organized by business-technology site Information Age, the Women in IT Awards Asia acts as a flagship and high-profile platform to support the industry in its mission to move the dial on gender.

Join me in congratulating my fellow female entrepreneurs and nominations. Stay tuned for the winners announced in December 2020!
