InfoCepts partnered with Nielsen to pivot from a monolithic, subscription-based approach to a micro-subscription model with developer focused environments providing centralized observability, cost governance, and security of every single component of the platform.
The objective was to achieve continuous deployment to production with the help of a fully automated CI/CD pipeline with built-in Automation Testing (functional regression & performance) to certify the deliverables before it is pushed to higher environments. Some of the key features of the solution are described below:
Micro-subscription model — Our solution provides each team with its own piece of cloud. An integrated automation suite consists of a set of base tools for environment management.
Infrastructure as code — InfoCepts automated infrastructure provisioning for each subscription so related teams could quickly focus on their business logic. All infrastructure was generated through ephemeral source code that was destroyed after deploying each artifact. This enabled a complete blue green deployment model to quickly roll out features to production.
CI/CD Pipelines – The entire software development life cycle (SDLC) is packaged into automated pipelines. These take care of testing, building/packaging, certifying (regression and performance suites), and deploying images to any environment. Enforcing code quality, security scans, and code stability through automation provided the confidence to rapidly deploy our enhancements to production.
To ensure adoption of this new model, InfoCepts created many starter kits and documentation to enable the developers and operations team to master the art of being cloud native and to get the most out of efficient DevOps.
